Cost-Risk for Alaska Railroad Projects

John Reilly provided cost-risk process implementation for the Alaska Railroad’s extension project and the Fairbanks re-alignment project.

Because cost is critical, WSDOT’s CEVP process was used at an early stage for the extension project to calibrate potential cost ranges compared to available funds.

Two workshops were held, the first dealing with risk identification and mitigation and the second addressing an initial range of probable cost for the project.
